Even if you weren't enamored with Mitsubishi's fourth-generation Eclipse when it was launched in late 2005, you have to admit its "out-there" styling has staying power; see one on the street today, almost two years later, and you find yourself saying, "Hey, that's the new Eclipse." It looks that different from anything else on the road.
The Eclipse even makes Nissan's all-new Altima coupe look a bit boring, despite that car's strong rear three-quarter family resemblance to the Infiniti G35/G37 coupe. And unlike the Altima, the Eclipse doesn't have a completely "snoresville" front end.
