Blow Molded ABS

  • ABS is derived from acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. The most important mechanical properties of ABS are its impact resistance, toughness and heat resistance. Also, it retains much of its strength at colder temperatures.

  • In blow molding, the ABS plastic is first melted and then rammed out and trapped by two mold halves with high-pressure lockup. Air is injected forcing the liquid to take the form of the mold cavity. The mold is then chilled. When it has set up, the air is vented, the mold is opened and the spoiler is removed.

  • Blow molding allows producing hollow, double-wall parts that require exceptional rigidity, toughness, and impact strength. It is typically used to make fuel tanks, bumpers, and spoilers. Blow molding with ABS plastic produces an exceptional product.

  • Because of their exceptional characteristics, you receive a lifetime warranty on all of our blow molded ABS spoilers and wings.
