Painting

  • If you are trying to decide painting, here are some items to take into account. If you are customizing a relatively new vehicle, buying it painted from us may be the most convenient. If you are having the car repainted, have the piece painted painted locally at the same time. If the car has been repainted and there is any doubt as to whether it is exactly to factory specification, buy the pieces primed and have them painted locally in case they need to be custom matched.

  • Most of the time, our painting prices are very competitive. However, you should compare with what you can get locally. Look at the best combination of warranty, price, and convenience for your situation.

  • We paint to the exact specifications of the manufacturer's paint code. The only time the color wouldn't match is if the vehicle has a manufacturer variation. This is extremely rare. The only way to avoid any possibility of this is to have the item custom matched to the car which you would need to do locally.

  • We only paint to original equipment manufacturer paint codes - i.e. Chevrolet, Toyota, etc. For instance, the code may be: 404 and the color: black. Typically, the code is found on the label on the inside of the driver's door. It also can be in the trunk or other places. If you have trouble locating it, go to Find My Paint Code from Paintscratch. We are not affiliated with them in any way, but they have a great lineup of touch up paint and their website is very useful. Of course, you can always call us for help.

  • When you buy Professionally Painted from us, you get a Lifetime Warranty - with a few limitations. It applies to the original purchaser and the original car it was installed on. It does not cover abuse, scratches, etc. or weather damage. Here is our complete Warranty Language

  • If you have selected the Professionally Painted option and proceed to Checkout, you will be asked for your ordering information. After that, you will be asked for your painting code, color, and any other information you want to tell us. In the final step, you will see a proposed complete order. If you like what you see, click on Confirm and you are done. If you want to change something, you can. The order is not placed until you click the final Confirm on the invoice.

  • Your Professionally Painted item will take approximately one week longer than ordering it primed - sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. We paint each piece directly for your order and we do not rush the drying process. This is very important to maintain the luster during shipment.
