Should I buy it painted or have it done locally?

There is no one right answer for everyone. If you have a relatively new vehicle and are customizing it, buying it professionally painted from us may be the most convenient for you. If you are having the car repainted, then you should probably have the new pieces painted at the same time locally. If the car has been repainted and there is any doubt as to whether it is exactly to factory specification, we recommend you buy the pieces primed and have them painted locally in case they need to be custom matched.

What about your prices?

Most of the time, our prices are comparable or slightly less than what you will pay locally. However, if you have good connections with a body shop or other business that does this kind of work, you should compare. Look at warranty, price, and convenience. The products you buy from us are straightforward to prep and paint so don't accept an unreasonable quote if you have it painted locally.

How well will the color match?

We paint to the exact specifications of the manufacturer's paint code. This means that for cars made in the last five years or so, the paint will match. With older vehicles and once in a thousand with a newer vehicle, the factory does not actually paint to the specification they show. This is called 'variations' and they are used to account for vehicles which are produced at different assembly plants. In recent years, this is no longer an issue because of the excellent quality control.

Will you paint to colors other than the factory?

We only paint to original equipment manufacturer paint codes. If you supply this code, we will paint to it. If you need a custom mix, you should have the item painted locally.

How do I tell you the right color?

You need to give us the factory color code and a description of the vehicle color. For instance, the code may be: 404 and the color: black.

Where do I find the paint code?

Typically, the code is found on the label on the inside of the driver's door. It also can be in the trunk. If you have trouble locating it, go to Find My Paint Code from Paintscratch. We are not affiliated with them in any way, but they have a great lineup of touch up paint and their website is very useful. Certainly, give us a call (888-989-4647 or 480-894-4005) and we will help you as well. Honest, its not very hard. It is very important so that we give you the correct color. With modern cars, even basic colors like white, black, and red are not so basic anymore.

What is your Warranty?

Lifetime - with a few limitations. It applies to the original purchaser and on the original car it was put on. It does not cover abuse, scratches, etc. or weather damage. Abnormal fading, peeling, cracking, and the like are fully covered. This rarely happens, but like with anything else, never say never. If it does, your covered. Where do I enter the information when I place an order online?

After you have selected the Professionally Painted option for each item and proceed to Checkout, you will be asked for your ordering information. After that, it will ask for your painting information. Once you put this in, you will see a proposed complete order. If you like what you see, click on Confirm and you are done. Don't worry, your order is not placed until you click the final Confirm button. Call or e-mail us if you have any questions.

How long does it take?

Your Professionally Painted Spoiler, Ground Effects Kit, Window Scoop, or other will take approximately one week longer than ordering it primed - sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. We paint each piece directly for your order and we do not rush the drying process. This is very important to maintain the luster during shipment.

Can I return a painted piece if I change my mind?

No - so make sure you want this. As long as we have painted to the manufacturer's code you have given us, the piece is yours. Of course, if we have accidentally painted it to an incorrect code, we will correct our mistake.
