Racing Spoilers Insight:
We do not sell spoilers for race cars and under no circumstance should you put your spoiler on a racecar, or on a production car used for racing. It is not designed for this. It is not designed to take the loads racing produces.
However, since spoiler design and use began in the world of racing, its interesting to know why they are used on the track. In racing, form always follows function. The spoiler or wing on a race car is essentially an airplane wing turned upside down. As the race car increases speed, more air flows past the spoiler and, instead of causing lift, it causes downforce. This pushes the back (or front if mounted in front) of the car onto the track. The car gets better traction (or grip as they say in racing). The faster it goes, the more downforce the spoiler produces.
